I’ve been looking for a good CMS to manage the content of my site, and none that seemed good enough, were easy to skin, but then i got this idea that i could use WordPress, the popular blogging system, as a general CMS. WordPress can create standalone pages as well as blog posts, and with a little editing of the template, i got rid of all the blog-ish stuff on the standalone page template (like the edit page link) and the pages look as good as any static page. Importing the blogger blog post was pretty easy, as WordPress comes with a Blogger importer, but for some reason, the dates all got reset to 1 Jan 1970.
While I was at it, i changed the design to a theme by Andreas Viklund posted at OSWD.
